The story behind this blog

This is why I started collecting heart photos.

Once upon a time, my young naive heart was broken from what I thought was the biggest love of my life. But I felt what everyone goes through in times like these – like I would never ever love again. That there was no point in giving or even showing your heart to someone or anyone. Then one day, a friend told me that LOVE can’t only be given to or given by just one person in this world. LOVE is EVERYWHERE – from the family that will stick with you whatever happens, friends who are with you through good times and bad, random souls who come in and out of our lives but will make lasting impressions, beautiful works of art from everywhere in the world, to the natural blessings that God has put on earth.

I realized how loved I was and how there was no point in focusing on the crap that happens in our lives. Gotta focus on the love, baby.

So I started putting together all the photos from my travels where I was posing with the heart shape with my hands and put them in one album on Facebook. Album title? Simple. “<3” for a heart. I didn’t realize how besides making myself feel better, my photos were inspiring other people too and everyone started sending me their own! : ) I then would ask friends to take some heart photos for me when they travel to add to the collection. Every time I got a photo or was tagged in one, I felt the love!!!

So that’s the story behind this. Love IS everywhere. All we need to do is look for it, find it, and share it.
